FIGURE - FORM AND MOVEMENT

This is an illustrated journey exploring the artist’s work at the Royal Northern College of Music as Artist in Residence, in addition to personal work involving the figure.  Approaches to the figure in context are explained; looking at movement, expression and the dramatic atmosphere. The range of media used in capturing transient images will be covered and there is a unique opportunity to see opportunity to see some of the artist's paintings, drawings and sketchbooks from her private collection.  Describing and explaining the artist’s influences and approaches to handling colour in oils, watercolour and pastel with particular reference to landscape work executed in the studio and 'en plein air'. There is an opportunity to see work in portfolio in addition to original paintings from the artist’s private collection.
